Alejandro Cabeza
I'm Alejandro Cabeza and I have spent the last 7 years working as a therapist across different mental health services in Spain and Massachusetts (USA). Family and couple relationships and bonds, along with self-confidence, have been the core of the work I do for my clients' mental health.
I have worked with families facing many kinds of difficulties (low income, housing problems, migration, substance use, severe trauma…). Client-centred therapy is one of the main approaches in my work, regardless of the different diagnoses and symptoms we may encounter (anxiety, depression, OCD, disruptive mood dysregulation…).
Today, the neurobiology of attachment and brief integrative therapy are the main treatment approaches I use with my clients. I am a specialist in EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), which lets us address the conflicts affecting us in the present by tracing their origins in the past, while strengthening our self-confidence and sense of identity.
