English-speaking psychologist in Madrid for trauma, EMDR and couples
If you are looking for an English-speaking psychologist in Madrid who works on the root of what is happening, not just the symptoms, this is what I do: help you understand where your distress comes from and resolve it with a clear method, at your own pace and without making therapy longer than it needs to be.
What sets my work apart:
- Specialist training in trauma. Expert in trauma intervention with EMDR (Spanish Society of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy) and a Master's in Family and Couples Therapy, Crisis and Trauma from the University of Salamanca.
- Clinical experience in Spain and in Massachusetts (USA), supporting individuals, couples and families in very different situations, including crisis.
- Over 500 hours of individual clinical supervision and more than 100 hours of group supervision: my work is reviewed constantly so you get the best possible care for your case.
- Licensed Health Psychologist (M-37719), registered with the Official College of Psychology of Madrid.
- Therapy fully in English or Spanish, in person in Madrid or online from anywhere.
I combine brief integrative therapy, an attachment-based approach and EMDR to work with anxiety, trauma, emotional dependency, grief, and couple and family conflict. The first session is for getting to know each other, understanding what is going on and deciding together on the best way forward.
